Numfold for iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and Android · Effective 2026-10-21
Short version. Numfold has no account, no ads, no analytics and no server of ours, and it contains no third-party code. Your progress stays on your device, with optional sync through your own iCloud and optional Game Center leaderboards, both run by Apple. The App Store privacy label says “Data Not Collected”. Everything below spells this out.
What the app stores
Your progress: stars and best times per level, Sprint and Endless points, which of today's six puzzles are done, the daily streak, today's hearts, your play statistics (accuracy and seconds per step by game, by digit pair and by day, for the Your numbers page) and your settings (sounds, haptics, look, keypad size, teacher mode, game options). It is stored on the device you play on, in the app's own storage, and a copy is shared with the app's widgets on the same device. Nobody else can read it, and it is deleted when you delete the app.
Sync with iCloud (optional)
With Sync with iCloud on in Settings, a copy of that progress is kept in your own iCloud account through Apple's iCloud Key-Value storage, so it appears on your other iPhones, your iPad and your Apple Watch. It travels between your devices and Apple's iCloud only. We have no access to it and no way to see it. The switch is on unless you turn it off; turn it off at any time and the copy on each device stays. Apple's privacy policy covers iCloud itself.
Game Center (optional)
If you are signed in to Game Center on your device, Numfold sends your time on each daily puzzle to that game's daily and weekly leaderboards, and your Sprint score to its Sprint leaderboard, so you can compare yourself with other players. Those leaderboards are run by Apple under your Game Center profile and Apple's privacy policy. If you are not signed in, nothing is sent and the leaderboards simply do not appear. Sign out or manage your profile in the iOS Settings app under Game Center.
Numfold Complete
Numfold Complete is a one-time purchase made through Apple's App Store. Apple handles the payment; we never see your payment details, and the app only checks your purchase with the App Store on your device. Family Sharing is supported through Apple.
What the app does not do
- No accounts. You never sign in to anything of ours.
- No ads, and no third-party code of any kind: no advertising, analytics or crash-reporting SDK.
- No analytics, crash reporting or usage statistics of ours.
- No tracking permission prompt, and no tracking across apps or websites.
- No permissions requested: not notifications, location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone.
- No server of ours. The app's network activity is Apple's iCloud sync (if on), Apple's Game Center (if signed in) and the App Store for the purchase.
- No chat and no user-generated content. A challenge link only carries the game, level and puzzle number, never anything about you.
All ages
Numfold is rated 4+ and made for all ages. It is not directed primarily at younger players, but younger players may use it. It has no ads, no chat, no user-generated content and no sign-up, and no player is ever asked for tracking permission.
Numfold for Android
Everything above holds for the Android app, with Google's services in place of Apple's. Your progress and settings are stored in the app's own storage on your phone or tablet. If Android backup is on for your device, a copy goes into your own Google account backup and moves to a new phone when you set it up; Google runs that backup and we cannot see it. Numfold Complete and the tips are bought through Google Play: Google handles the payment, we never see your payment details, and the app only asks Google Play on your device which purchases you own. The Android app has no iCloud sync, no Game Center and no leaderboards. It asks for no permissions you have to approve; the only ones it holds are the network access Google Play's billing needs. Google Play's Data safety section says “No data collected” and “No data shared”.
App Store privacy label
“Data Not Collected”. The app's own privacy manifest declares no tracking and no data collection. If a later version ever adds an ad, this policy and the label will be updated in that same version, before it reaches you.
This website
Static pages. No cookies, no analytics and no third-party scripts. The typeface is served from this site itself, so loading a page makes no request to Google Fonts or any other third party. The pages are hosted on GitHub Pages, which, like any web host, processes your IP address and standard request data to deliver them.
How long data is kept, and how to delete it
We hold no data about you, so there is nothing for us to keep or delete. Your progress stays on your devices until you remove it: Settings › Reset all progress clears it on that device, and deleting the app removes everything it stored there. Turning off Sync with iCloud stops new copies going to your iCloud; the copy already there belongs to your iCloud account.
If you write to us
When you email us we receive your address and whatever you send. We use it only to answer you, do not add you to any list, and delete the conversation on request.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published here with a new effective date, and the app's privacy label will be updated to match.
